Excursión Mojada
Un sapito amigo mío
me invitó para ir con él
hasta el fondo del río
donde hay bonitas cosas que ver.
Yo dudaba si remojarme
otros riesgos pensé también.
"-¡Hombre no seas cobarde
se hace muy tarde! ¿Vienes o qué?"
Nos zambullimos
en la corriente azul
y yo hacia cuando bajaba:
glu glu glu glu glu glu glu...
Me empecé a sentir agusto
se me fué pasando el susto
y el Sapito me sonrió
"-¡Que tal! ¿jah?"
Cuando pude llegar al suelo
en el fondo del manantial
me sentí muy ligero
como volando entre cristal.
Donde el sapo se domicilia
me hizo señas para pasar
con toda su familia
y uno por uno a saludar:
El chistoso papá Sapote
el muy chato del tío Sapato
y con quince ranas
primas hermanas de su mamá.
"-Para serviles"
-quise decirles yo
pero solo pude hacerles
glo glo glo glo glo glo glo...
Al estar bajo el agua
por costumbre nadie habla
¡ pero tal cuestión se me olvidó!
De verguenza eché burbujas
el Sapito se carcajeó
luego el muy granuja
¡hasta el muy granuja
¡hasta la orilla me acompaño!
Wet Excursion
A little frog friend of mine
invited me to go with him
all the way to the riverbed
where there are pretty things to see.
I hesitated to get wet
thought about other risks too.
"-Come on, don’t be a coward,
it’s getting late! You coming or what?"
We dove
into the blue current
and as I went down:
glu glu glu glu glu glu glu...
I started to feel at ease
the fear began to fade
and the little frog smiled at me
"-What’s up! Huh?"
When I finally reached the bottom
of the spring
I felt so light
like I was flying through glass.
Where the frog makes his home
he waved for me to come in
with all his family
and one by one to greet:
The funny dad Frog
the short Uncle Frog
and with fifteen frogs
cousins of his mom.
"-To serve you"
I wanted to say to them
but all I could do was
glo glo glo glo glo glo glo...
Being underwater
by habit no one talks
but I forgot all about that!
Out of embarrassment, I blew bubbles
the little frog burst out laughing
then the little rascal
even the little rascal
even walked me to the shore!
