"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled."
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With th' angelic host proclaim,
"Christ is born in Bethlehem."

Veil'd in flesh, the Godhead see;

Hail! the Son of Righteousness!
Light and life to all he brings,

Born to give them second birth.

Voilé dans la chair, voyez la divinité;
Salut, la divinité incarnée:
Content, en tant qu'homme, de vivre avec les hommes,
Jésus, notre Emmanuel!

Salut! le prince de paix né du ciel!
Salut! le fils de la justice!
Lumière et vie à tous, il apporte,
Ressuscité avec la guérison dans ses ailes.
Doux, il dépose sa gloire,
Né pour que l'homme ne meure plus:
Né pour relever le fils de la terre,
Né pour leur donner une seconde naissance.
