Last night I took a walk in the dark
To a place called Palisades Park
To have some fun, to see what I could see
That's where the girls are
I took a ride on the shoopty shoop
The girl I sat with almost, almost puked
And when it stopped, she was holding hands with me
My arms were flying up, like a rocket ship
Down, like a roller coaster
Fast, like a loopty loop
Then around, like a merry-go-round
We even at a hot dog stand
Slam danced to a rockin' band
And when she winked, I gave that girl a hug
In the tunnel of love
You'll never know how good it just can feel
'Til it stops at the top of the ferris wheel
I fell in love, down at Palisades Park

Hier soir, j'ai fait une balade dans le noir
Vers un endroit appelé le Parc des Palissades
Pour m'amuser, voir ce que je pouvais voir
C'est là que sont les filles
J'ai fait un tour sur le shoopty shoop
La fille avec qui j'étais a presque, presque vomi
Et quand ça s'est arrêté, elle me tenait la main
Mes bras s'envolaient, comme une fusée
Descendaient, comme un grand huit
Rapide, comme un loop de fou
Puis autour, comme un manège
On a même mangé à un stand de hot-dogs
On a dansé sur un groupe qui déchire
Et quand elle a cligné de l'œil, je lui ai fait un câlin
Dans le tunnel de l'amour
Tu ne sauras jamais à quel point ça peut être bon
Jusqu'à ce que ça s'arrête en haut de la grande roue
Je suis tombé amoureux, au Parc des Palissades
