There was a boy
A very strange enchanted boy
They say he wandered very far, very far
Over land and sea
A little shy and sad of eye
But very wise was he
And then one day
A magic day he passed my way
And while we spoke of many things
Fools and kings
This he said to me

On dit qu'il a erré très loin, très loin
À travers terre et mer
Un peu timide et triste des yeux
Mais il était très sage
Et puis un jour
Un jour magique, il est passé par ici
Et pendant qu'on parlait de tant de choses
Fous et rois
Il m'a dit ceci
