O Desafio
Um desafio, por Elias o rei foi desafiado
Todo o povo de Israel foi convocado
Para esta grande cena contemplar
E o Carmelo foi o endereço que Deus escolheu
E ouvindo Elias, logo obedeceu
Pondo toda sua confiança e a sua esperança
E toda sua fé em Deus
O desafio lançado estava e todo o Israel observava
Lá no Carmelo ia subindo o rei Acabe com os seus profetas
E todo povo observando e admirando aquela multidão
Mas Elias não estava só, pois quem serve a Deus é maioria
E o resto é folha e pó
E no horário, tudo montado, arquitetado, bem planejado
Mais de oitocentos vão por igual
Todos gritando chamando Baal
Mas o tempo foi passando, todo o povo se cansando
E o rei já preocupado, assim mesmo indagando
Os profetas se cortando, se batendo, machucando
E Elias confiante o tempo todo zombando
Toda manhã passou e nada de Baal
E o rei envergonhado não viu nenhum sinal
E todo o Israel descobriu que o seu Deus não é Baal
Lá vai Elias pra o desafio
E todo o povo de Israel apreensivo
Tirou do meio os profetas de Baal
Quem sabe até alguns já se sentindo mal
Com doze pedras ergueu o altar
Pois só vê fogo quem restaura o altar
Pôs o sacrifício, a lenha em torno
Cavou um rego e pediu água ao povo
Pôs toda água sobre o altar até o sacrifício o rego encharcar
E depois disso fez aquela oração
Que rasga o céu e toca em Deus o coração
E pra surpresa de Acabe e Israel
Deus mandou fogo, mas foi tão forte o fogo
Que toda água lambeu
E Israel matou os servos de Baal
E o povo admirado com o grande sinal
Só o Senhor é Deus, gritava todo povo
E o altar ardendo no meio do povo
Pois a resposta de Deus na vida do crente é fogo
Nesta igreja tem fogo, no altar tem fogo
Da cabeça aos pés desse crente tem fogo
Ele ora com fogo, ele prega com fogo, de Deus tem fogo
É batizado com fogo, em línguas de fogo
E o seu coração é uma tocha de fogo
Seu falar é fogo, seu andar é fogo, de Deus tem fogo
Pois não aceita o errado, rejeita o pecado
Vive em união, sempre em oração
Não vive em conflito, seu exemplo é Cristo, meu Rei Glorioso
Seja batizado com fogo, renovado com fogo
Avivado com fogo, com Espírito e com fogo
Sinta descer o fogo, deixa queimar o fogo
É Deus presente aqui no meio desse povo
Se queres a presença e ver Deus operar
E no meio do povo Deus um sinal deixar
Se queres ver o fogo queimar sobre tua vida, tem que ter altar
Nesta igreja tem fogo, no altar tem fogo
Da cabeça aos pés deste crente tem fogo
Ele ora com fogo, ele prega com fogo, de Deus tem fogo
É batizado com fogo, em línguas de fogo
O seu coração é uma tocha de fogo
Seu falar é fogo, seu andar é fogo, de Deus tem fogo
Pois não aceita o errado, rejeita o pecado
Vive em união, sempre em oração
Não vive em conflito, seu exemplo é Cristo, meu Rei Glorioso

The Challenge
A challenge, by Elias the king was challenged
All the people of Israel were summoned
To witness this great scene
And Carmel was the address that God chose
And hearing Elias, they obeyed immediately
Putting all their trust and hope
And all their faith in God
The challenge was thrown and all Israel watched
There on Carmel, King Ahab went up with his prophets
And all the people watching and admiring that crowd
But Elias was not alone, for those who serve God are the majority
And the rest is leaf and dust
And at the appointed time, all set up, planned, well organized
More than eight hundred go equally
All shouting, calling Baal
But time passed, all the people getting tired
And the king already worried, still asking
The prophets cutting themselves, hitting, hurting
And Elias confident all the time mocking
Every morning passed and no sign of Baal
And the king ashamed saw no signal
And all Israel found out that their God is not Baal
There goes Elias to the challenge
And all the people of Israel apprehensive
He took the prophets of Baal out of the way
Maybe even some feeling unwell
With twelve stones he built the altar
Because only those who restore the altar see fire
He put the sacrifice, the wood around
Dug a trench and asked the people for water
He poured all the water over the altar until the sacrifice soaked the trench
And after that he made that prayer
That tears the sky and touches God's heart
And to the surprise of Ahab and Israel
God sent fire, but the fire was so strong
That it licked up all the water
And Israel killed the servants of Baal
And the people amazed by the great sign
Only the Lord is God, all the people shouted
And the altar burning in the midst of the people
For God's answer in the believer's life is fire
In this church there is fire, on the altar there is fire
From head to toe this believer has fire
He prays with fire, he preaches with fire, he has God's fire
He is baptized with fire, in tongues of fire
His heart is a torch of fire
His speech is fire, his walk is fire, he has God's fire
For he does not accept wrong, rejects sin
Lives in unity, always in prayer
Does not live in conflict, his example is Christ, my Glorious King
Be baptized with fire, renewed with fire
Revived with fire, with Spirit and with fire
Feel the fire descend, let it burn the fire
It is God present here among this people
If you want His presence and to see God work
And in the midst of the people God leave a sign
If you want to see the fire burn over your life, you must have an altar
In this church there is fire, on the altar there is fire
From head to toe this believer has fire
He prays with fire, he preaches with fire, he has God's fire
He is baptized with fire, in tongues of fire
His heart is a torch of fire
His speech is fire, his walk is fire, he has God's fire
For he does not accept wrong, rejects sin
Lives in unity, always in prayer
