Monte Canino
Non ti ricordi quel mese d'aprile,
quel lungo treno che andava al confine
e trasportava migliaia degli alpini
su su correte è l'ora di partir.
Dopo tre giorni di strada ferrata
e altri due di lungo cammino
siamo arrivati sul monte Canino
e a ciel sereno ci tocca riposar.

Don't you remember that April,
that long train heading to the border
and carrying thousands of the alpine troops
come on, it's time to leave.
After three days on the railway
and two more of long journey
we arrived at Canine Mountain
and under clear skies, we have to rest.
If you're hungry, look into the distance,
if you're thirsty: cup in hand,
if you're thirsty, cup in hand,
the snow will refresh us.
