Winter
Old man winter came up to my house
Late last night
He carved his name with his fingernails
All up and down the siding
Will you walk with me downtown
I won't make it on my own no no
That's what everyone has told me
So it must be true
I went and sat by the fireplace
But the flames were colder than the snow
So i knit a sweater from icicles
I'll give it to you you can wear it when i get cold
The birds have all flown south again
& so have you you gone right along with them
The animals sleep in their caves
There's no one left but me & that cold wind
Invierno
El viejo invierno llegó a mi casa
Anoche tarde
Grabó su nombre con sus uñas
Por todo el revestimiento
¿Caminarás conmigo por el centro?
No lo lograré por mi cuenta, no no
Eso es lo que todos me han dicho
Así que debe ser verdad
Me senté junto a la chimenea
Pero las llamas eran más frías que la nieve
Así que tejí un suéter de icicles
Te lo daré, puedes ponértelo cuando me dé frío
Los pájaros han volado de nuevo al sur
Y tú también, te has ido con ellos
Los animales duermen en sus cuevas
No queda nadie más que yo y ese viento frío
