Além do tumulo o Espírito inda canta
Seus ideias de paz, de amor e luz,
No ditoso país onde Jesus
Impera com bondade sacrossanta.
Nessas mansões, a lira se levanta
Glorificando o Amor que em Deus transluz,
Para o Bem exalçar, que nos conduz
À divina alegria, pura e santa.
Dessa Castália eterna da Harmonia
Transborda a luz excelsa da Poesia,
Que a Terra toda inunda de esplendor.
Hinos das esperanças espargidos
Sobre os homens, tornando-os mais unidos,
Na ascensão para o Belo e para o Amor.
Parnaso from Beyond the Grave
Beyond the grave the Spirit still sings
Its ideas of peace, love, and light,
In the blessed land where Jesus
Reigns with sacred kindness.
In these mansions, the lyre rises
Glorifying the Love that shines in God,
To exalt the Good that guides us
To divine joy, pure and holy.
From this eternal Castalia of Harmony
Overflows the sublime light of Poetry,
Which floods the whole Earth with splendor.
Hymns of hope scattered
Over men, making them more united,
In the ascent to the Beautiful and to Love.
