El Ermitaño
En un cerro muy lejano
Habitaba un ermitano
Angustiado noche y día
No comía, ni dormía
Lamentando algo triste
Pues su niño estaba enfermo
Pero un día muy temprano
Decidio bajar al pueblo
Con su muchachito grave
Y en los brazos de su padre
Tembloroso iba diciendo
Padre siento que me muero
Y al llegar los dos al pueblo
Los miraba mucha gente
Le gritaban campesino
Tu mataste a ese nino
El llorando les decía
Salven a mi nino enfermo
Lo acostaron en un pasto
Y llamaron al doctor
El le dijo pues buen hombre
Su muchacho no responde
Ya no vive, esta muerto
Y llorando lo abrazo
Ermitano fue su error
Ermitano fue su error
The Hermit
On a very distant hill
Lived a hermit
Distressed night and day
He didn't eat, nor sleep
Regretting something sad
Because his child was sick
But one very early day
He decided to go down to the village
With his very sick boy
And in his father's arms
Trembling he was saying
Father, I feel like I'm dying
And when the two arrived at the village
Many people were watching
They shouted at the peasant
You killed that child
He, crying, said to them
Save my sick child
They laid him on the grass
And called the doctor
He told him, well, sir
Your boy doesn't respond
He's not alive, he's dead
And crying, he hugged him
Hermit, it was your mistake
Hermit, it was your mistake
