Quando enfim chegar à praia celeste
O feliz lugar onde aportarei
Para que do rumo nunca me perca
Ao Senhor o leme confiarei
A navegar pelo mar da esperança
Vou com Jesus em total segurança

Outros peregrinos encontrarei
Antes de chegar à praia que avisto
Deve anoitecer mas não temerei
Ao amanhecer estarei com Cristo
Neste lar eterno onde habitarei
Ao alvorecer o dia de glória
Os umbrais celestes avistarei
Quando estrugir o som da trombeta
O meu bem eterno contemplarei
Quando enfim pisar, na patria celeste
O meu novo nome, se ouvirá
E o meu Jesus, o Rei mui amado
Mim saldará, com o bem, vindo enfim
E morando lá, naquela cidade
Os meus irmãos, eu encontrei
Os que venceram, a tribulação
Ao junto deles, ali seiarei

At the break of day, the day of glory
I’ll see the heavenly gates ahead
When the trumpet sounds loud and clear
I’ll behold my eternal love
When I finally step on that heavenly land
My new name will be heard
And my Jesus, the beloved King
Will greet me with joy, finally coming home
And living there, in that city
I’ll find my brothers, gathered near
Those who overcame the trials
Together with them, I’ll take my seat
