A Felicidade da Salvação
São felizes os que têm o alegre som
Da salvação real do nosso Deus
Pois eles têm ouvido num suave tom
A multidão que canta lá no céu
Já os filhos de Deus bem alegres estão
Porém no céu prazer melhor terão
Os gozos do cristão, apenas gotas são
Do mar de bênçãos, em Sião!
Secam-se do mundo os mananciais por fim
Deixando aqui somente sequidão
Porém, as fontes divinais não são assim
Pois sempre águas vivas manarão
Paulo e Silas, eis que na cadeia estão
No tronco têm seguros mãos e pés
Mas sem se importarem, mesmo na prisão
Entoam hinos ao Senhor, com fé!
Eis Estêvão numa grande exultação
Embora às pedradas sucumbiu
Porque do Espírito cheio teve a visão
O Salvador à direita de Deus, viu!
Muitos séculos têm-se passado já
Depois que Estêvão, pela fé morreu
Mas salvação igual Jesus ainda dá
A todos crentes e fiéis em Deus
Qual pombinho já em canto divinal
Que louva: Aleluia em nosso ser
Se perguntares: Onde apanharei igual?

The Happiness of Salvation
Happy are those who have the joyful sound
Of the real salvation of our God
For they hear in a gentle tone
The multitude singing up in heaven
The children of God are already joyful
But in heaven, they will have better pleasure
The joys of the Christian are just drops
From the sea of blessings in Zion!
The world's springs dry up in the end
Leaving only dryness here
But the divine fountains are not like that
For living waters will always flow
Paul and Silas, behold, in prison they are
Their hands and feet securely bound
Yet, without caring, even in prison
They sing hymns to the Lord, with faith!
Here is Stephen in great exultation
Although he succumbed to stoning
Because filled with the Spirit, he had the vision
He saw the Savior at the right hand of God!
Many centuries have passed already
Since Stephen died by faith
But Jesus still offers the same salvation
To all believers and faithful in God
Like a little dove in divine song
Praising: Hallelujah in our being
