Ó Jesus, nesta terra
Há só tristeza e dor
Os Ímpios fazem guerra
Aos santos do Senhor

Cristo volta
Em fulgurante luz
O mar já se revolta
Não tarda vir Jesus!

Do mundo nós não somos
Mas do Senhor Jesus
Remidos todos fomos
Com sangue, lá na cruz!

No mundo tenebroso
Não vamos descansar
Mas para o céu, de gozo
Queremos já voar!

Olhamos para cima
Donde virá Jesus
Pois isto nos anima
Para viver na luz

There is only sadness and pain
The wicked make war
Against the saints of the Lord

Christ returns
In dazzling light
The sea is already in turmoil
Jesus will soon come!

We are not of this world
But of the Lord Jesus
We were all redeemed
With blood, there on the cross!

In this dark world
We will not rest
But to heaven, with joy
We want to fly now!

We look up
From where Jesus will come
For this encourages us
To live in the light
