Jesus No Monte da Ascensão
Jesus disse aos discípulos, no monte, ao subir
Detei-vos em Jerusalém, pois há de se cumprir
A vinda gloriosa do Consolador
Pra revestir as testemunhas do Senhor
Descendo o fogo do altar, o vento de amor
Depressa foram proclamar o Salvador
Encheu-se o cenáculo de gloriosa luz
Descendo o fogo divina!, a nós voltou Jesus
E todos, revestidos com o poder do céu
Falaram noutras línguas em louvor a Deus
O povo, assustado com o poder do céu
Não compreendeu que isto foi o que Deus prometeu
Mas Pedro lhes proclama: Assim diz o Senhor
No fim dos dias, Vos darei Consolador
Assim Jesus te manda orar e esperar
O Santo Espírito de Deus, que vem pra t'ensinar
Jesus, a gloriosa unção, te mandará
E Seu amor sublime, proclamar irás
Jesus On The Mount Of Ascension
Jesus said to the disciples, on the mount, as He ascended
Stay in Jerusalem, for it shall be fulfilled
The glorious coming of the Comforter
To clothe the witnesses of the Lord
Descending the fire from the altar, the wind of love
Quickly they went to proclaim the Savior
The cenacle was filled with glorious light
Descending the divine fire!, Jesus returned to us
And all, clothed with the power of heaven
Spoke in other languages in praise of God
The people, frightened by the power of heaven
Did not understand that this was what God promised
But Peter proclaims to them: Thus says the Lord
In the last days, I will give you the Comforter
So Jesus commands you to pray and wait
The Holy Spirit of God, who comes to teach you
Jesus, the glorious anointing, will send you
And His sublime love, you will proclaim
