Perdido neste mundo andei
Imerso em sua escuridão
Em vãs promessas confiei
Não tinha Deus, nem salvação
Perdido andei, mas me salvei
Sendo guiado pela luz
Que no Calvário avistei
E me levou ao Rei Jesus!
Sem forças estava pra viver
Sem nada mais eu esperar
Quando uma luz eu pude ver
Que veio me iluminar
Fitei a luz e logo cri
E muito alegre eu fiquei
Prazer do céu também senti
Quando essa luz eu abracei
Confesso com satisfação
Que nessa luz me sinto bem
A paz entrou no coração
Porque vi um abrigo além
Nos braços do Senhor Jesus
Prazer eu tenho em viver
Unido à salvadora luz
Que Cristo veio me trazer

Wandering lost in this world
Drowning in your darkness
I trusted in empty promises
Had no God, no salvation
I wandered lost, but I found my way
Guided by the light
That I saw on Calvary
And it led me to King Jesus!
I was too weak to live
Had nothing left to hope for
When I saw a light
That came to shine on me
I fixed my eyes on the light and soon
I believed and felt so glad
I felt the joy of heaven too
When I embraced that light
I confess with satisfaction
That in this light I feel alright
Peace entered my heart
Because I found a shelter beyond
In the arms of Lord Jesus
I take pleasure in living
United with the saving light
That Christ came to bring me
