Well, my baby moved on up the road to boulder
And livin' there is makin' her so odd
She gave away her rockabilly records
And bought a new cd by big head todd
We used to ride my '57 chevy
But now she said that cruisin' leaves her bored
She's livin' in a psychedelic schoolbus
And drivin' round the country with the horde
We used to have it good in commerce city
Livin' in a cozy little shack
Her lipstick and her beehive looked so pretty
I wish that i could get my baby back
She used to fix me great big greasy breakfasts
But now she said that meat is on the outs
She found herself a hippie for a boyfriend
Who fixed her up some tofu and some sprouts
She gave away the high heels that i bought her
And got a pair of dr. martin boots
And the things that those boulderites they taught her
She's smokin' pot and hash and snortin' toots
Her pretty ponytail's turned into dreadlocks
I don't know where she left her fishnet hose
But they wouldn't look so good with her birkenstocks
Or the rings in her eyelids and her nose
