A mí nadie me retruca y menos si tengo cartas
Garden Villa (Chapter 1)
It's hard to explain what's on my mind
Though I've got experience to write or recite
After so much walking, my legs got tired
And when they stumbled, I knew how to set them right
I've always liked to chase what I pursued in dreams
With the hope that someday I could make them real
Today I'm about to reach something that felt so far away
And I promised my old man two decades ago
I always believed I could and trusted my skills
But for various reasons, I couldn't show it
I've learned to forgive the mistakes of the past
And I want to be forgiving to live in peace
Humans are the dumbest animals on this planet
They don't even respect themselves, just hurt each other
Whether in a corner or at a nightclub
It doesn't matter what they take, it all gets tainted
Someone bets on the roulette for their fortune's color
And even if they never hit, they'll always play again
They think so much about the answer they don't hear the question
And all those lies together make them lose track
It's normal for a man to lie, what's rare is to be sincere
And it'll always be money that keeps the soul happy
I, who have passed thirty and know the foreign lands
Have two eyes that have seen what my mouth talks about
I don't believe the one who pretends to have more than they do
'Cause showing off your wealth is typical of slow folks
I don't care about clothes or religions
Everyone has their own prayers to their God that feeds them
I was raised on polenta, on Sundays, a steak
And I don't mind anything when my stomach's hungry
I made my mother suffer for living like a gangster
And now that I'm a singer, she's happy day and night
At home, I'm Lucas, and on the street, I'm the Big Shot
More of a hustler than the rapper who educates while writing
No one talks back to me, especially if I have cards
And I leave the paths of my journey in the hands of fate
I grew up among rough folks and learned through punches
And even though I graduated from the school of the streets
They didn't give me the flag for the person I was
There's always a few good people and a lot of traitors
But I've always been grateful to those who lent a hand
And I know well that it was for my brother that I changed
The evil left me in a gradual way
When it found the exit, I turned my mistakes around
That's how it is.
