Cold Stare

Horus Udyat

Yeah
Not everything that seems, is real

I move in silence, watching everything
Learned too early not to trust what people say
Some smiles carry poison underneath
And some silence speaks louder anyway

Seen the fake ones acting like they're real
And the real ones struggling just to feel
Now I filter who stands by my side
'Cause not every hug is on your side

It's not pride, it's defense
Too much written in my face
If I'm quiet, that's my choice
Heard enough to lose my voice

This cold stare don't define who I am
I'm just tired of the lies and the scams
If I don't smile, it's 'cause I already know
Not everything that shines is gold

Closed face, guarded mind
Few words, but I see twice
Now I read beyond your disguise
Truth don't need to justify

They talk a lot but never show
I learned to read it in their eyes though
Some swear loyalty out loud
Then switch up quick just to fit the crowd

I'd rather carry peace alone
Than fake love I've outgrown
If I walk away, it's not hate
Some people just don't resonate

Trusted too much, I paid the price
Now I trust what time decides
The real ones stay, they never fade
The rest get lost along the way

Cold stare, but my heart's awake
No slow emotions left to fake
If I changed, it's just to survive
The same old game I watched collapse

Closed face, life aligned
Right energy, guarded mind
Those who get me don't need a sound
And those who don't, won't come around
