Alleluia! sing to Jesus! His the scepter, His the throne.
Alleluia! His the triumph, His the victory alone.
Hark! the songs of peaceful Zion thunder like a mighty flood.
Jesus out of every nation has redeemed us by His blood.
Alleluia! not as orphans are we left in sorrow now;
Alleluia! He is near us, faith believes, nor questions how;
Though the cloud from sight received Him when the forty days were o'er
Shall our hearts forget His promise, "I am with you evermore"?
Alleluia! bread of angels, Thou on earth our food, our stay;

Intercessor, Friend of sinners, Earth's Redeemer, plead for me,
Where the songs of all the sinless sweep across the crystal sea.

Thou within the veil hast entered, robed in flesh our great High Priest;
Thou on earth both priest and victim in the Eucharistic feast.

¡Escucha! los cantos de la pacífica Sión retumban como un poderoso diluvio.
Jesús de cada nación nos ha redimido con su sangre.
¡Aleluya! no como huérfanos quedamos en la tristeza ahora;
¡Aleluya! Él está cerca de nosotros, la fe cree, no cuestiona cómo;
Aunque la nube lo recibió de nuestra vista cuando los cuarenta días pasaron,
¿Olvidarán nuestros corazones su promesa, 'Estoy siempre contigo'?
¡Aleluya! pan de ángeles, Tú en la tierra nuestro alimento, nuestro sostén;
¡Aleluya! aquí los pecadores huyen a Ti de día en día:
Intercesor, Amigo de pecadores, Redentor de la Tierra, ruega por mí,
Donde los cantos de todos los sin pecado barren a través del mar cristalino.
¡Aleluya! Rey eterno, a Ti el Señor de señores reconocemos;

Tú has entrado dentro del velo, revestido de carne nuestro gran Sumo Sacerdote;
