Uncle Alberto on Bicycle Day

Indio Solari

El Tío Alberto en el Día de la Bicicleta

Cambió la luz
Y él pedaleó
Las callecitas de Basilea seguían igual

Mundo exterior
Y mundo interior

No estaba seguro

Luego quiso saber
Por qué Dios calla así
Silencio ante el dolor que nos da
No entender la oscuridad
No entender la oscuridad
No entender la oscuridad

Uncle Alberto on Bicycle Day

The light changed
And he pedaled
The little streets of Basel stayed the same

Outside world
And inside world
Were the same on the path he took

Cheers to the uncle
To Uncle Alberto
If you look deep down, you see the depth thanks to him

He let his guard down
His conscience shook
Despite death, the little death he discovered

He agonized
And was reborn
No words could capture what overwhelmed him

Then he wanted to know
Why God stays silent like this
Silence in the face of the pain we feel
Not understanding the darkness

Fear arrived
And set him free
Wounds on the innocence of his childhood

And from then on
He straightened out
Also my life with the awareness he brought forth

He wasn't sure
If he understood what he heard
Nor could he believe what he saw was real

Then he wanted to know
Why God stays silent like this
Silence in the face of the pain we feel
Not understanding the darkness
Not understanding the darkness
Not understanding the darkness
