le hice estrofas, le hice versos
porque en sus brazos poeta me sentí
y el sufrimiento me está matando
estoy llorando desde el día en que la perdí

y hasta presiento que llorando he de morir
la vida entera daría por verla
para quererla igual o mas que ayer
al fin y al cabo me sobra llanto
para llorarla si la vuelvo a perder

I wrote stanzas for her, I wrote verses
because in her arms I felt like a poet
and the suffering is killing me

I feel embarrassed in front of my friends
that at my age they see me cry for love
but I can't help it, I'm crying
for that ungrateful one who just left
I'm crying like a coward
and I even feel like I'll die crying
I would give my whole life to see her
to love her the same or even more than yesterday
after all, I have too many tears
to cry for her if I lose her again
