Vejo pela fé o profeta Elias
Todos os milagres que ele fazia
Quando ele orava chuva caia
E lá das alturas o Senhor ouvia
Espiar no monte mandou Elias
O moço que tinha em sua companhia
Uma nuvem negra o moço via
Do tamanho da mão que do mar subia
Vejo pela fé o grande holocausto
Elias dizendo aos profetas falsos
O meu Deus é forte e não tem fracasso
O seu Deus é morto e é muito fraco
E com voz bem alta gritou Elias
Já está passando do meio dia
Pode desistir o seu Deus não viu
Estava dormindo e não te ouviu
O profeta disse sem demorar
Quem quebrou a pedra do meu altar?
E dessa maneira não vou orar
Ele está quebrado vou consertar
Depois de arrumado então orou
E fogo do céu logo Deus mandou
A água e a lenha o fogo queimou
As pedras que tinham, cinza tornou
Depois da vitória sabe o que fez?
Matou os profetas de uma vez
Estava cumprindo ordem do Rei
Pois estava escrito em sua lei
Até hoje mesmo pode queimar
Pedras de tropeços no seu altar
Deus foi ontem e hoje sempre será
Basta você crer também confiar
Prophet Elijah
I see by faith the prophet Elijah
All the miracles he performed
When he prayed, it rained
And from on high the Lord heard
Elijah was sent to spy on the mountain

The size of a hand rising from the sea
I see by faith the great holocaust
Elijah saying to the false prophets
My God is strong and never fails
Their God is dead and very weak
And with a very loud voice Elijah shouted

The prophet said without delay
Who broke the stone of my altar?
And in that way I will not pray
It's broken, I'll fix it
After tidying up, he prayed
And God immediately sent fire from heaven
The water and the firewood burned the fire
The stones they had turned to ash
After the victory, do you know what he did?
He killed the prophets all at once
I was following the King's orders
For it was written in their law
It can still burn today
Stumbling blocks on your altar
God was yesterday and will always be today
