Atende a voz do meu clamor,
Ó Rei Deus meu
Pois eu a Ti orarei com mais fervor,
Oh! Dai ouvidos às minhas
Súplicas, Ó Senhor
A minha meditação elevo aos céus.
"Na longa noite
Eu a Ti vigiarei
Pela manhã, Tu ouvirás a
Minha voz
E no Teu templo com mui
Fervor eu cantarei
Oh! Derrama as tuas bênçãos
Sobre nós."
Eu entrarei em tua casa pela grandeza
Em templos Teus me inclinarei perante a Ti
Guia os meus passos em tua justiça e realeza
Oh! Vence o inimigo para mim
O Deus eterno não tem prazer na Iniquidade
A tua palavra é uma espada e broquel
E extermina este mundo de maldade
E conserva com retidão a quem for fiel.
Salmo V
Hear my cry, O King, my God,
For I will pray to You with more fervor,
Oh! Lend an ear to my
Supplications, O Lord,
I lift my meditation to the heavens.
"In the long night
I will keep watch for You,
In the morning, You will hear
My voice,
And in Your temple with great
Fervor I will sing,
Oh! Pour out Your blessings
Upon us."
I will enter Your house with greatness,
In Your temples, I will bow before You.
Guide my steps in Your justice and royalty,
Oh! Defeat the enemy for me.
The eternal God takes no pleasure in wickedness,
Your word is a sword and shield,
It exterminates this world of evil,
And keeps the faithful in righteousness.
