I thought last night that i saw someone
I really ought to know
Then i stopped for a while and tried to remember

But i whispered a name i thought i’d forgotten

A subconscious mind plays tricks sometimes
Like a little voice whispering within
And dreams have a way of bringing back yesterday

Seems so very strange how old memories
Can come back and knock on your door
Before last night i thought i had forgotten
But today i’m not so sure

Entonces me detuve por un momento e intenté recordar

Pero susurré un nombre que pensé haber olvidado

A veces la mente subconsciente juega trucos

Parece muy extraño cómo los viejos recuerdos
Pueden regresar y llamar a tu puerta
Antes de anoche pensé que lo había olvidado
Pero hoy no estoy tan seguro
