Finda-se este dia que meu Pai me deu
Sombras vespertinas cobrem já os céus
Oh! Jesus Bendito, se comigo estás
Eu, eu não temo a noite, vou dormir em paz
Com os pecados de hoje, eu sei, te entristecí
Mas perdão Te peço, por amor de Ti
Sou Teu pequenino, livra-me do mal
E em sossego alcanço gozo natural
Guarda o marinheiro do violento mar
E ao que sofre dores, queiras confortar
Ao culpado estende Tua mão, Senhor
Manda ao triste e aflito, o Consolador
Pelos pais e amigos, pela santa lei
Pelo amor divino, graças Te darei
Oh! Jesus atende, minha petição
E seguro eu durmo, sem hesitação

This day that my Father gave me ends
Evening shadows already cover the skies
Oh! Blessed Jesus, if you are with me
I, I do not fear the night, I will sleep in peace
With the sins of today, I know, I saddened you
But I ask for forgiveness, for love of You
I am Your little one, deliver me from evil
And in peace I reach natural joy
Guard the sailor from the violent sea
And comfort the one who suffers pains
Extend Your hand to the guilty, Lord
Send the Comforter to the sad and afflicted
For parents and friends, for the holy law
For divine love, I will give thanks
Oh! Jesus, hear my plea
And I sleep soundly, without hesitation
