The Essence
So pure is the essence
Full of love, life and undying acceptance
Giving more, receiving less
With no regrets its sweet caress
Worthy of transcendence
So powerful is the essence
Like a ship tossed and driven
Battered by the sea of the unforgiven
It sails alone only with the holy presence
The mystery remains unsolved
The more I try the more rights I’ve turned to wrong
Though faith, courage and truth have always kept it strong
Like the moonlight, it’s weary when it dances too long
So vulnerable is the essence
Susceptible to the vampire’s bite
Again and again it’s just another victim of the night
You think it would learn its lesson
But sometimes it takes three lefts just to make one right
Life will cease to flow when the essence turns cold
Sight will be blind and all will fall apart
It’s been the center of us from the very first start
Don’t let the tales of love and life go untold
The essence I’m referring to is our hearts

Tan poderosa es la esencia
Como un barco sacudido y llevado
Golpeado por el mar de los no perdonados
Navega solo, solo con la presencia divina
El misterio sigue sin resolverse
Cuanto más lo intento, más aciertos se convierten en errores
Aunque la fe, el coraje y la verdad siempre lo han mantenido fuerte
Como la luz de la luna, está cansado cuando baila demasiado tiempo
Tan vulnerable es la esencia
Suscetible a la mordida del vampiro
Una y otra vez es solo otra víctima de la noche
Piensas que aprendería la lección
Pero a veces se necesitan tres izquierdas para hacer una derecha
La vida dejará de fluir cuando la esencia se enfríe
La vista será ciega y todo se desmoronará
Ha sido el centro de nosotros desde el principio
No dejes que los cuentos de amor y vida queden sin contar
La esencia a la que me refiero son nuestros corazones
