Aquel polluelo dejó su nido y se puso a volar
Muchas veces le cortaron las alas
Pero siempre se las supo ingeniar
Aquellas noches llenas de angustia y desesperación
Fueron las que formaron mi carácter
Y me hicieron lo que hoy en día soy
Llegamos a la edad donde mi ama me está contando sus problemas
Y yo los míos me los voy a guardar
Porque no la quisiera preocupar
Veían aquel gatito pero con el tiempo se convirtió en leon
Entre las sombras le tocó vivir
Y con el tiempo también se curtió
Pocos amigos pues lo que abunda ahorita es la traición
La gente ahora te cambia por dinero
También te cambian por algún amor
Yo me la rolo con los que estaba en mis tiempos de ayer
Esos conocen muy bien mi proceso
Cuando caí y cuando me levanté
Llegamos a la edad donde mi ama me está contando sus problemas

That little chick left its nest and took to the sky
Many times they clipped its wings
But it always found a way to get by
Those nights filled with anguish and despair
Were what shaped my character
And made me who I am today
We reached the age where my mom is sharing her problems
And I’ll keep mine to myself
'Cause I don’t want to worry her
They saw that little kitten but over time it became a lion
Living in the shadows was its fate
And with time, it toughened up too
Few friends 'cause what’s abundant now is betrayal
People will trade you for money
They’ll also trade you for some love
I roll with those who were there in my days of yore
They know my journey well
When I fell and when I got back up
We reached the age where my mom is sharing her problems
And I’ll keep mine to myself
