Spectacular Failures
Life is but a dream in a greater scheme, waking up is hard to do.
Even if you're quick, something holds you back, always waiting in a queue for someone,
to tell you you're broke, or you should not smoke anymore cigarettes.
Planets will align, if you give them time.
When you least expect, everything connects, even when the hope is gone there is you,
and you'll keep your name, and the things in your brain just might see you through.
'Cos you are light, and in darkest night you shine.
And I guess we're doing fine, but there's no escaping our spectacular failure.
Digging in between things we've never seen, trying to find the missing links.
All these scientists are trying every trick just before the city sinks without trace.
So much we've achieved, so I hope when we leave there's a smile on our face.

Fracasos Espectaculares
La vida es solo un sueño en un esquema mayor, despertar es difícil de hacer.
Incluso si eres rápido, algo te detiene, siempre esperando en una fila por alguien,
que te diga que estás quebrado, o que ya no deberías fumar más cigarrillos.
Los planetas se alinearán, si les das tiempo.
Cuando menos lo esperas, todo se conecta, incluso cuando la esperanza se ha ido, estás tú,
y mantendrás tu nombre, y las cosas en tu cerebro podrían ayudarte a salir adelante.
Porque eres luz, y en la noche más oscura brillas.
Y supongo que estamos bien, pero no hay escapatoria de nuestros fracasos espectaculares.
Cavando entre cosas que nunca hemos visto, tratando de encontrar los eslabones perdidos.
Todos estos científicos están intentando cada truco justo antes de que la ciudad se hunda sin dejar rastro.
Hemos logrado tanto, así que espero que cuando nos vayamos haya una sonrisa en nuestro rostro.
Porque eres luz, y en la noche más oscura brillas.
