As she sits there alone
No one's hearing her song
She's waiting, to see if she survives another blow
This cannot go on
All her patience has gone
And she doesn't think her body will take anymore abuse from her
So she cries out for help
In the hope that she'll become someone else
She wants one day to feel normal again
She wants her strength back like before
But she's been broken too many times

Every thud of rain on her window pane
Fills her heart with such dread and regret
It reminds her how out of control she felt
And how little she's gained since then
All her attempts at perfection
were forced down and rejected
She was left with the dream to blend in
But when you've made the decision
to hide from recognition
