No dia em que a história dividida foi
A terra estremeceu como nunca se viu
O sol a protestar deteve o forte brilho
O céu enegreceu o seu azul anil!
O universo todo em luto chorou
Pregado numa cruz estava o rei da glória
A morte por dois dias o silenciou tentando impedir a sua trajetória!
Desceu ao abismo, e a chave da morte tomou!
Despedaçou o jugo, o véu do templo se rasgou!
Cumpriu-se a profecia, ao matadouro foi levado
O príncipe da paz morreu pelos meus pecados!
Mas ao terceiro dia o sepulcro estremeceu
Se surpreendeu Maria ao ver ali o anjo de Deus
E o anjo anuncia
“Não mais entre os mortos ele está! Jesus ressuscitou!”
Ressuscitou! Sobre a morte ele triunfou!
Ressuscitou! Pra todo sempre reina o senhor!
Sobre o trono assentado e coroado em glória
Com cetro de justiça rege o curso da história!
Vencedor! O seu reino subsistirá!
Vencedor! Sua igreja com temor o adora!
Vencedor! Verbo vivo, força e vitória!
Razão da existência! O dono do milagre!

He is risen
On the day when the divided story was
The earth shook like never before seen
The sun protesting stopped its strong shine
The sky darkened its indigo blue!
The whole universe mourned
Nailed to a cross was the king of glory
Death silenced him for two days trying to stop his path!
He descended into the abyss, and took the key of death!
He shattered the yoke, the temple veil was torn!
The prophecy was fulfilled, to the slaughterhouse he was taken
The prince of peace died for my sins!
But on the third day the tomb shook
Mary was surprised to see the angel of God there
And the angel announces
“He is no longer among the dead! Jesus has risen!”
He is risen! He triumphed over death!
He is risen! The Lord reigns forever!
Seated on the throne and crowned in glory
With a scepter of justice he rules the course of history!
Victor! His kingdom will endure!
Victor! His church worships him with fear!
Victor! Living Word, strength and victory!
Reason for existence! The owner of the miracle!
