Sem a presença de Jesus, é triste o jornadear
Mesmo em companhia de alguém
Mas se este alguém não é Jesus, penoso é o caminhar
Eis que de repente o Mestre chega
Com Sua voz suave e meiga, transmitindo a paz
Viajantes tristes de Emaús, consolados por Jesus
Já não lamentam mais

Tuas palavras ardem no meu ser
A Tua voz produz no meu viver
A segurança que eu preciso pra vencer, Mestre fica
No caminho estreito pra Sião
Os salvos não tropeçarão, Jesus os guiará
Seus ensinamentos qual fanal
Enche de luz o peregrino, e firma o seu andar
O terno olhar do Salvador

Sad travelers of Emmaus, comforted by Jesus
