Martita

Martita

Era una tarde muy linda,
Cuando conocí a martita,
Estaba a orillas del lago
Sentada en una barquita.

La miré y ella no quiso
Contestar a mi mirada,
Mas después me alejé triste
Con mi alma que lloraba.

Lloraba, lloraba y
Del lago me alejaba.
Lloraba, lloraba y
Del lago me alejaba.

Yo volví dos o tres veces
Para ver si la encontraba,
Pero el destino lo quiso,
Que a su casa me llevara.

Al mirarla la sentía como
Quien siente a su amada,
Le entregué toda mi vida
A través de mi mirada.

Mi alma lloraba porque
Yo en ella no estaba.
Mi alma lloraba porque
Yo en ella no estaba.
Mi alma lloraba porque
Yo en ella no estaba.

Martita

It was a very beautiful afternoon,
When I met Martita,
She was by the lake
Sitting in a little boat.

I looked at her and she didn't
Respond to my gaze,
But then I walked away sadly
With my soul crying.

Crying, crying and
I was moving away from the lake.
Crying, crying and
I was moving away from the lake.

I returned two or three times
To see if I could find her,
But destiny wanted it
That I would be taken to her house.

Looking at her I felt like
Someone feels for their beloved,
I gave her all my life
Through my gaze.

My soul cried because
I wasn't in her.
My soul cried because
I wasn't in her.
My soul cried because
I wasn't in her.
