Às vezes parece que ser um cristão
Não é fácil em meio à escuridão
Ainda mais se eu pensar que não é minha luz
Mas a união com Deus que o brilho produz
E as vezes parece difícil entender
Que o cristão é exemplo mesmo sem o querer
E por isso mesmo eu preciso orar
Pra que Deus me ilumine e assim eu possa brilhar

Quando o mundo se apagar
Eu quero que através da minha vida
Alguém possa Te enxergar
Faze com que, mesmo sem palavras

Brilhar onde quer que for
Às vezes eu temo que vou fracassar
Pois eu sei que errei e continuo a errar
Mas se a minha luz parece extinguir-se

Sometimes it seems like being a Christian
It's not easy in the darkness
Even more so if I think it's not my light
But the union with God that the brightness produces

That Christians are examples even without wanting to be
And that's why I need to pray
So that God may enlighten me and so I can shine

Sometimes I fear I will fail
Because I know I made mistakes and I continue to make mistakes
But if my light seems to be extinguished
My God gives me strength to continue
No matter how hard I try
I can only win if He helps me
And that's when I realize, my effort is in vain
And what I must do is hold Your hand

And when my light seems to waver
I just need to join That light that makes everyone shine
