In London I boarded a plane to Barcelona in Spain
I thought it would make a change
From holidays down in Blackpool or Grange
I couldn't believe my eyes
and still I'm wondering why
That the Costa del Sol is always so full
It makes you wanna cry.

I got the shivers and shakes and so my body
Was feeling like a total wreck

And then by later afternoon I was as high as a kite on the mo

In London stieg ich in ein Flugzeug nach Barcelona in Spanien
Ich dachte, das wäre mal eine Abwechslung
Von Urlauben in Blackpool oder Grange
Ich konnte meinen Augen nicht trauen
Und frage mich immer noch, warum
Dass die Costa del Sol immer so voll ist
Es bringt dich zum Weinen.
Ich hab die rockende Pneumonie beim Tanzen in einer spanischen Diskothek
Ich hab das Zittern und Schütteln, und so fühlte sich mein Körper
Wie ein totaler Wrack an
Es brauchte eine süße lateinische Senorita
Um den Schweiß meinen Nacken hinunterlaufen zu lassen

Die Morgen verbrachte ich am Strand
Cuba Libre in greifbarer Nähe
Und dann war ich am späteren Nachmittag so high wie ein Drachen
Dann die Siesta-Zeit im Bett
Gab mir Zeit, meinen Kopf freizubekommen
Und dann nahm ich eine Chance und ging tanzen
Und jetzt bin ich fast tot.
