Past Tense
we once owned the way that we thought.i hate the fact that it all had to end.the best times of my life that i can recall, are the times when you were my best friend.can't even label how the whole thing began to break.
or how it escalated beyond control.i just wish there was a way to get it through to you.we were invincible and immune to pain.the predicaments we find ourselves in now, were nothing then because we had no shame.and when i think about what stands between us today.
i can't seem to understand why both of us remain so stubbornand proud.i think we each need to act like a man.now i think about what comes next.and i sincerely hope that we don't lose track of what used to make our lives so enjoyable.i hope that we can get that back.i'm through living in the past tense.
Tiempo Pasado
Una vez poseíamos la forma en que pensábamos. Odio el hecho de que todo tuvo que terminar. Los mejores momentos de mi vida que puedo recordar, son los tiempos en que eras mi mejor amigo. Ni siquiera puedo etiquetar cómo todo comenzó a desmoronarse.
O cómo escaló más allá de nuestro control. Solo desearía que hubiera una forma de hacértelo entender. Éramos invencibles e inmunes al dolor. Los aprietos en los que nos encontramos ahora, no eran nada entonces porque no teníamos vergüenza. Y cuando pienso en lo que nos separa hoy.
No logro entender por qué ambos seguimos tan tercos y orgullosos. Creo que cada uno de nosotros necesita actuar como un hombre. Ahora pienso en lo que viene después. Y sinceramente espero que no perdamos de vista lo que solía hacer nuestras vidas tan placenteras. Espero que podamos recuperar eso. Estoy cansado de vivir en tiempo pasado.
