Busqué, llamé,
Miré cada mañana alrededor;
Subí, bajé,
Moví todas las hojas del jardín.
Tiré, raspé
Y ya no estabas.
Dudé, grité,
Hacia eco el bosque con mi voz.
Trepé, miré,
Desde la rama el sol se nos durmió.
No vi, no ves
Que ya no hay nada.
All the Leaves in the Garden
I searched, I called,
I looked around every morning;
I went up, I went down,
I moved all the leaves in the garden.
I threw, I scraped,
And you were no longer there.
I doubted, I screamed,
The forest echoed with my voice.
I climbed, I looked,
From the branch the sun fell asleep on us.
I didn't see, you don't see
That there is nothing left.
