La Overa
Ckayna tarde llojserani
Suj caballitu bellacup
Tata ensillas taanacus
Un poste de ñandubay
Cerca de la medianoche
Umay lásaj, borrachito
Cuando pase por tu casa
Iba cantando overito
Agitascka, huajtas ‘rispa
Escuchaba en la laguna
Y en ancas de mi caballo
Iba llevando la luna
Y al llegar a Salavina
Bailamos la chacarera
Y cantábamos la castilla
Mezcladita con La Overa
A lo lejos se divisa
Un ranchito en los jumiales
Y una blanca majadita
Cruzando los salitrales
Yendo por un caminito
Ashca cabras tarerani
Un cencerro colgadito
Chacarera uyarerani
Con mi caballo bellaco
Al galope recorrí

The Overa
Late afternoon, I’m wandering
On my fine little horse
Dad’s saddles are ready
A post of the ñandubay
Close to midnight
A little tipsy, I’m feeling good
When I passed by your house
I was singing overito
Shaking it, I heard the ‘rispa
Echoing in the lagoon
And on my horse’s back
I was carrying the moon
And when I got to Salavina
We danced the chacarera
And we sang the castilla
Mixed in with The Overa
In the distance, I can see
A little house in the jumiales
And a white little flock
Crossing the salt flats
Going down a little path
I’m bringing the goats along
A little bell hanging
Chacarera’s ringing out
With my fine horse
I galloped through
Blanca Pozo, Rubia Paso
