The Kept Man

Los Huracanes del Norte

El Mantenido

No importa que me hagas güey
nomás con que no me dejes.

No importa que me hagas güey
nomás con que no me dejes
así le dijo José
a la mujer que mas quieres
no pienses que es por amor
mas bien porque me conviene.

Alergia le da el trabajo
cuando trabaja se enferma
tratándose de gorrear
es bueno pa' la cerveza
para eso no esta cansado
ni le duele la cabeza.

De veras que baquetón
es un bato mantenido
come y se viste del welfer
del que le dan a sus hijos
por eso vive contento
en la tierra de los gringos.

Su esposa trabaja a diario
en un empaque de fruta
por eso es que no le importa
que su esposa ande de pura
de pura falda cortita
confieso que a mi me gusta.

Ese si que tiene concha
como si fuera armadillo
su esposa le da diez dólar
para que cuide a los niños
ella se va a cotorrear
todo el sábado y domingo.

De veras que baquetón
es un bato mantenido
su esposa ya lo corrió
pero José no se ha ido
no importa que me hagas güey
nomás que sigas conmigo.

The Kept Man

It doesn't matter if you make me a fool
Just don't leave me.

It doesn't matter if you make me a fool
Just don't leave me
that's what José told
the woman he loves the most
Don't think it's out of love
but rather because it suits me.

Work gives him allergies
when he works, he gets sick
when it comes to mooching
he's good for beer
he's not tired for that
nor does he have a headache.

Really, what a freeloader
he's a kept man
he eats and dresses from welfare
from what they give to his kids
that's why he lives happily
in the land of the gringos.

His wife works daily
in a fruit packaging plant
that's why she doesn't care
if his wife goes out just for fun
wearing short skirts
I confess I like it.

He really has a thick skin
like an armadillo
his wife gives him ten dollars
to take care of the kids
she goes out to have fun
every Saturday and Sunday.

Really, what a freeloader
he's a kept man
his wife already kicked him out
but José hasn't left
it doesn't matter if you make me a fool
just keep being with me.
