Soltando Coplas
Releasing Verses
Eyes that have cried, because they look at me like that
What grudges have grown, since I left last night
At what moment could they, speak so badly of me
I like you because you talk little, because you let me speak
With just a few words, you always make me think
Your silences won me over, these desires to sing
There are four verses in the verses, a tradition that lives in me
My small town is where I invite you to live
If you understand what I ask of you, maybe you can be happy
You're leaving, my little verse, and you were just born
When you come back as a town, when you feel yourself growing
If you still keep her name, then I will love you
With the letter you sent, I made a paper boat
And the ditch took it away, so I wouldn't suffer
I saw it leave downstream, with a destiny from yesterday
The envelope was never opened, because I knew unintentionally
The things you've been saying, that no one will believe
Although there are things that are said, like watching the rain
When I pass through your street, near dawn
Everything turns into a folk dance, evoking your love
With your memory, there are hardships, that I can't overcome
