El Espinazo Del Diablo
De allá de la Sierra Madre
allá donde ruge el diablo
muchos dicen que es el aire
pero no sea comprobado.
Salio don Manuel Moreno
a la sierra de Durango
iba siguiendo una beta
que dicen que era de uranio.
En una de las vertientes
del espinazo del diablo
Moreno encontró la beta
que era su sueño dorado.
Bajo a registrar su mina
a la ciudad de Durango
no sabia que ya su vida
valía menos que un centavo
porque unos cuervos logreros
iban a querer robarlo.
Un coronel descompuesto
gritaba vuto al infierno
no comprendes que el uranio
es propiedad del gobierno.
Moreno le contesto
con su carácter sereno
sabes que para encontrarlo
yo he atravesado el infierno.
Ahí comenzó su martirio
porque hasta sus pies ardieron
pero esa mina señores
jamás será del gobierno.
Con un morral de bombillos
voló al coronel Medina
pero para conseguirlo
tuvo que ofrendar su vida
con el se llevo el secreto
de la codiciada mina.
The Devil's Backbone
From beyond the Sierra Madre
where the devil roars
many say it's the air
but it hasn't been proven.
Don Manuel Moreno left
to the Sierra de Durango
following a vein
said to be uranium.
On one of the slopes
of the devil's backbone
Moreno found the vein
that was his golden dream.
He went down to register his mine
in the city of Durango
not knowing that his life
was worth less than a penny
because some greedy crows
were going to try to steal from him.
A disgruntled colonel
shouted curses to hell
Don't you understand that uranium
is government property.
Moreno replied
with his calm demeanor
You know that to find it
I have gone through hell.
That's when his ordeal began
because even his feet burned
but that mine, gentlemen
will never belong to the government.
With a bag of light bulbs
he blew up Colonel Medina
but to achieve it
he had to offer his life
with him he took the secret
of the coveted mine.
