Desejo apenas que Deus abençoe
Meu lar que se acha em festa,
Com o nascimento de quem veio enriquecer
Minha casa modesta.
Bem sei que o nosso dever
É crescer, casar e multiplicar.
Eis a razão por que agora encontrei
Mais prazer em viver e amar.
Ao sentir a maior emoção que eu tive
Quis sorrir , mas confesso que não me contive.
Hoje eu vivo a cantar esses versos que eu fiz
Em homenagem à imagem de alguém
Que nasceu pra me fazer feliz.

I only wish that God blesses
My home that is in celebration,
With the birth of someone who came to enrich
My modest house.
I know well that our duty
Is to grow, marry, and multiply.
That's why now I have found
More pleasure in living and loving.
Feeling the greatest emotion I've had
I wanted to smile, but I confess I couldn't contain myself.
Today I live singing these verses I made
In homage to the image of someone
