The Impossible Dream (The Quest)
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear the unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star
This is my quest, to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell from a Heavenly cause
And I know, if I'll only be true to this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I'm laid to my rest
And the world will be better for this
That one man scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable stars
El sueño imposible (La búsqueda)
Soñar el sueño imposible
Luchar contra el enemigo invencible
Soportar el dolor insoportable
Correr donde los valientes no se atreven a ir
Corregir lo que no se puede corregir
Amar puro y casto desde lejos
Intentar cuando tus brazos están cansados
Alcanzar la estrella inalcanzable
Esta es mi búsqueda, seguir esa estrella
No importa cuán desesperanzado, no importa cuán lejos
Luchar por lo justo sin dudar ni pausar
Estar dispuesto a marchar al infierno por una causa celestial
Y sé que, si solo soy fiel a esta gloriosa búsqueda
Que mi corazón estará en paz y tranquilo cuando descanse en mi lecho
Y el mundo será mejor por esto
Que un hombre despreciado y cubierto de cicatrices
Aún luchó con su último aliento de coraje
Para alcanzar las estrellas inalcanzables
