Há homens sem alma que sujam e transformam, a cor de mel que a Lagoa tem

Imagine banhar-se em água, que por Deus foi iluminada

Vou cantando este desejo, e nadar nos meus sonhos de alma lavada !

Near the stones of Vila Velha, the sun makes the water turn golden.

Clear, transparent water, the fish celebrates all its freedom,

Food in abundance, bread floating in tranquility.

But no one can swim in the lagoon that's protected by the law's might.

There are soulless men who dirty and change the honey color the lagoon has.

Imagine bathing in water, illuminated by God,

I'm singing this wish, to swim in my dreams with a cleansed soul!
