The Dance of the Dragonflies

Manuel Garcia

Me llama, me viene a buscar
Me hace soñar
Es decir, que con la violencia del mar
Quisiera volver a besar
Hasta sangrar

Y aunque hace años que yo
Vivo tan lejos del mar
Siempre vuelvo al pueblo
Donde imaginé hace tiempo
A mi damisela y su flor
Con su sombrilla y mi amor
Damisela del jardín de las camelias

Es decir, belleza que quiero olvidar
Me llama, me viene a buscar
Me hace soñar
Es decir, que con la violencia del mar
Quisiera volver a besar
Hasta sangrar

The Dance of the Dragonflies

Now it seems that I
Must look towards the sea
Discover the night and its reflection among the boats
Tomorrow you will find a flower that I left for you
You will embrace its soft fire against your chest
And in a subtle dance, dragonflies from the garden
Will cross the sky of your feelings

That is to say, beauty that I want to forget
Calls me, comes to find me
Makes me dream
That is to say, with the violence of the sea
I would like to kiss again
Until bleeding

And even though for years I
Have lived far from the sea
I always return to the town
Where I imagined long ago
My lady and her flower
With her parasol and my love
Lady of the camellia garden

That is to say, beauty that I want to forget
Calls me, comes to find me
Makes me dream
That is to say, with the violence of the sea
I would like to kiss again
Until bleeding
