I called you up because I needed you bad
you were watching the news on TV
I lit a smoke at the wrong end and
dropped the match in my tea
I took a shower that night, shampooed my hair
I was thinking maybe I should shave
I was running late from a meeting
that's when the water ran out on me
I was reading a book from the 60's
It said the Rolling Stones would never see the 80's
I started humming a tune and grabbed my 6-string
That's when I stumbled and broke the damn thing
