Una mañana de mayo
me quise asomar al mar
para respirar la brisa
que me huele a libertad.
Abre temprano tu casa
pa que pueda entrar la luz
deja que entre la brisa
y deja que entre el Sol.
Con el Sol llega la vida,
la libertad con la luz,
el Señor es la esperanza
que encierro en mi corazón.

Tantas ganas que tenía

One May morning

to breathe the breeze
that smells like freedom.

freedom with the light,

that I enclose in my heart.
