The Dream
Last night I dreamed that you and I were in an awful storm
With no place to go or shelter anywhere
And it took a while to realize the reason for the dream
Now the meaning of it all is coming clear
The storm was all the trouble we've been having
No shelter was the answer we can't find
And the screaming of the raging wind that chilled me to the bone
Must have been the weary on my mind
And when today you called to tell me it was over
Lord I knelt when the phone began to ring
Yeah it took a while to understand the reason of it all
But now I know the meaning of the dream

Anoche soñé que tú y yo estábamos en una terrible tormenta
Sin lugar a donde ir ni refugio en ningún lado
Y tomó un tiempo darme cuenta de la razón del sueño
Ahora el significado de todo esto se está volviendo claro
La tormenta era toda la dificultad que hemos estado teniendo
Ningún refugio era la respuesta que no podemos encontrar
Y los gritos del viento furioso que me helaron hasta los huesos
Deben haber sido el cansancio en mi mente
Y cuando hoy me llamaste para decirme que todo había terminado
Señor, me arrodillé cuando el teléfono comenzó a sonar
Sí, tomó un tiempo entender la razón de todo esto
Pero ahora sé el significado del sueño
