Orange Spider
a note we wrote the other day
to any mice who pass this way
on crumed and sugared countertop:
"we must insist
your traffic STOP."
in their defense, they don't refuse
but nonetheless we've come to use
snapping traps and poison beans
(far less diplomatic means)

confirms my deepest held belief

Una nota que escribimos el otro día
para cualquier ratón que pase por aquí
en la encimera llena de migas y azúcar:
"debemos insistir
que su tráfico SE DETENGA."
en su defensa, no se resisten
pero de todas formas hemos recurrido
a trampas y granos envenenados
(medios mucho menos diplomáticos)
