1. away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little lord jesus laid down his sweet head.
The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay,
The little lord jesus asleep on the hay.
2. the cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,
But little lord jesus no crying he makes.
I love thee, lord jesus, look down from the sky,
And stay by my bedside till morning is nigh.
3. be near me, lord jesus, i ask thee to stay,
Close by me forever and love me, i pray.
Bless all the dear children in thy tender care,
And fit us for heaven, to live with thee there.
Lejos en un Pesebre
1. Lejos en un pesebre, sin cuna para dormir,
El pequeño señor Jesús recostó su dulce cabeza.
Las estrellas en el brillante cielo miraban donde él yacía,
El pequeño señor Jesús dormido sobre el heno.
2. El ganado está mugiendo, el bebé despierta,
Pero el pequeño señor Jesús no llora.
Te amo, señor Jesús, mira desde el cielo,
Y quédate a mi lado hasta que amanezca.
3. Está cerca de mí, señor Jesús, te pido que te quedes,
Cerca de mí por siempre y ámame, te lo ruego.
Bendice a todos los queridos niños bajo tu tierna protección,
