Every time I think of growing up I find out that I just slipped back,
I got it all wrong you know I,
Feel younger than I did when I was younger on a backwards track
I thought by now I could have figured it all out instead I'm further back,
Feels kinda stupid but I,
Feel 16 in my head but I guess it's only 5 years back
But I won't see the signs
it took so long but you were always on my mind, yeah,
For all the times I've tried to take a little time out for myself,
I'm just growing all alone again
But I find in my mind that I'm not.
Time is running out and I just want to say I'm sorry now,
Before I'm all alone again, and I'm broken and cold

Jedes Mal, wenn ich daran denke, erwachsen zu werden, stelle ich fest, dass ich einfach zurückgerutscht bin,
Ich hab's total falsch gemacht, das weißt du,
Fühle mich jünger als damals, als ich jünger war, auf einem Rückwärtskurs.
Ich dachte, bis jetzt hätte ich alles herausgefunden, stattdessen bin ich weiter zurück,
Es fühlt sich irgendwie dumm an, aber ich,
Fühle mich 16 in meinem Kopf, aber ich schätze, es sind nur 5 Jahre zurück.
Aber ich werde die Zeichen nicht sehen,
Es hat so lange gedauert, aber du warst immer in meinen Gedanken, ja,
Für all die Male, in denen ich versucht habe, mir etwas Zeit für mich selbst zu nehmen,
Wachse ich einfach wieder ganz allein.
Aber ich finde in meinem Kopf, dass ich es nicht bin.
Die Zeit läuft ab und ich möchte jetzt einfach sagen, es tut mir leid,
Bevor ich wieder ganz allein bin, und ich bin gebrochen und kalt.
Der alternde Superheld in mir ist müde,
Weil er zu schnell zu lange gelebt hat
und er sehnt sich immer noch danach, inspiriert zu werden.
Ich fühle mich alt, fühle mich kaputt, fühle mich kalt und kann nicht zurückkämpfen,

Aber es ist vorbei, dieser Zug wird nicht fahren,
