Running the race with endurance
always pressing on toward the goal
I pace myself for the winning
stopping only makes me grow cold
sometimes I might trip
when I lose my footing
or maybe when all my energy is gone
as the hard times come
and the hills get steeper
my minds say stop
but my heart says press on
running the race with diligence
a main part helping me make it through
always follow the straight and narrow
encouraging others to run hard too
I'm not out to gain a prize
life is like a race I run
striving till the end
and hopefully hearing the words well done

Corriendo la carrera con resistencia
siempre presionando hacia la meta
me marco el paso para ganar
detenerme solo me hace enfriar
a veces puedo tropezar
cuando pierdo el equilibrio
o tal vez cuando toda mi energía se ha ido
cuando vienen los tiempos difíciles
y las colinas se hacen más empinadas
mi mente dice detente
pero mi corazón dice sigue adelante
corriendo la carrera con diligencia
una parte fundamental que me ayuda a seguir adelante
siempre siguiendo el camino recto y estrecho
animando a otros a correr con fuerza también
no estoy aquí para ganar un premio
la vida es como una carrera que corro
esforzándome hasta el final
y esperando escuchar las palabras bien hecho
